Welcome to my grimoire.
This site is a compilation of notes I took while working in one of the nation's oldest occult shops from 1996 through 1998. A ten-pound binder accumulated during the course of my employment, coming from a study of parallels between European witchcraft and New Orleans practices - the common denominators of which have ended up as standard stock in most of today's spiritual shops.
Freestyle Witchcraft, as I define it, is a union of nature magicks and chaos techniques. Art, which streams from the same subconscious waters as magick, is a definite element, as well as the cities and modern environments we find ourselves living in; the playgrounds, the laboratories where we depart from "tradition." Or, perhaps, write the next pages ;)
The information presented here is intended as a DIY resource for those of you who want to create your own rites and practices, rather than follow a ready-made spell. It is by no means a definitive guide - I don't think there is such a thing as a "definitive guide," anyway - this is more an ongoing record of some things I've learned that the texts didn't cover. My own musings, discoveries, theories, and maybe a soapbox here and there. It's a perpetual work in progress, since there's always something new to be discovered.
